In 2004 I graduated from the North East Wales School of Art and Design with a BA Hons in Applied Arts Jewellery Metalwork. Since graduating, I have set up my home studio where I continue to design and develop my range of anodised aluminium jewellery.
I am inspired by colours and patterns found in nature and I often take my camera out on country walks to capture photographs of flora and fauna including flowers, tree bark, leaves, and insects. These images are the starting point to my design process as they influence the materials I select such as fabric, ribbon and stamps for monoprinting onto the metal with dyes and inks. A chosen palette of subtle or vibrant background dyes are then applied and mixed freely on the surface, the hues, tones and blends created make each piece unique. Each piece of jewellery is hand printed, dyed and crafted by me in my studio.
My jewellery is available to buy through my Etsy shop or through my website
